Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can you be my child's primary care physician?
Yes, I am accepting patients as part of my concierge program, where each family will have direct access to me for all your questions and concerns. This is a membership based program, where I will provide all the wellness and sick care for your child, utilizing herbal remedies, homeopathics and other novel treatments. I will provide both in person, same day or next day visits, and telemedicine sessions as needed.
  • Do you see adult patients?
Yes, we are an Integrative and Functional Medicine Provider for Adults and Kids. We offer Functional Medicine consultations with recommendations for advanced testing to uncover the root causes of illness. We then recommend herbal and nutritional treatment plans to help correct the underlying issue and restore balance to your body
  • How is you office different than other medical practices?
At my practice, I want to ensure that each patients concerns are heard and addressed with care and compassion. I have created a medical model to provide longer sessions, with more time to delve into the root causes of illness and create a path to optimizing wellness. I strive to treat the whole person and not just the symptoms. I acknowledge that each person is unique and may require different treatment modalities. I endeavor to bring balanced Integrative care that incorporates Traditional and Alternative medicine. I utilize Herbal, Chiropractic, Nutritional, Acupuncture and Functional Medicine treatments to heal patients.
  • Do you take insurance?
No. This is a cash-based pediatric practice and we do not accept insurance. We are considered an out of network provider with insurance companies. A superbill can be provided upon request. I have made this decision because my goal is to provide a high level of care; optimizing wellness, preventing illness, and giving each child the time needed to promote health. Sadly, the insurance-based systems operate counter to these principles and I have elected to opt out. Additionally, the insurance companies control too much of our healthcare and obligate providers to see a high volume of patients, which can decrease the quality of care. In sum, I endeavor to provide your family with the highest quality of Integrative Care without any intervening factors dictating my management or your family's healthcare.
  • What is your Vaccine Policy?
I do not require our patients to be vaccinated to be part of the practice. I believe in the principles of patient autonomy over their healthcare, informed consent and high level education. My role as your physician is to empower you with balanced knowledge and information to promote you leading a healthy life. This practice was created for those of you who are pursuing alternative health solutions and seek a path to maintain health and optimize wellness.
  • Do you Administer Vaccines?
No. Currently, we are not administering vaccines. We are a cash-based practice and are not able to offer vaccinations. As an Integrative practice, we will provide all the necessary education, guidance, and local resources to obtain vaccines. We will also provide consultation for creating personalized vaccine schedules including pre/post-vaccine detoxification and wellness optimization.
  • Where do I obtain Labs?
Although, I don't offer the same viral testing that you might get at a traditional doctors office. I have contracted with several companies to enable my patients to get labs performed. I will be offering individualized laboratory services to my patients, and their families, through several cash pay companies with affordable-transparent pricing. My patients will have the blood samples drawn either at a local lab, via mobile phlebotomist (for an extra fee) or in the office. For Advanced Functional Testing, those kits will be sent directly to the home.
  • Do you prescribe medications?
Yes, as an Integrative Physician, I can prescribe all medications when appropriate.
  • Do you accept same day appointments?
For our established patients or those enrolled in our concierge program, I will try to have you seen either in person or via telemedicine same day or next day.
  • What is the Cancellation Policy?
We require a 24 hour cancellation notice. If there is no notice given and the patient does not show up, there will be a $75 cancellation fee.
  • What is the Late Policy?
We ask that our patients respect our scheduling policies and try to arrive on time for appointments. If a patient arrived more than 15 min late for an appointment, their visit is subject to rescheduling or cancellation. Multiple violations of the late policy are subject to impairment of future scheduling.
